SoniPro is a management simulation and rhythm game featuring Nitroplus' mascot character Super Sonico. It plays much like a combination of the earlier SoniComi and Namco's The Idolmaster. The player takes the role of a young producer at a talent agency who has been tasked with developing Sonico's talents, image, and career. While she may be a beautiful young girl with a great singing voice and skill with a guitar, she is still inexperienced, rather naive, and lacking in confidence, and as such needs proper guidance to become a real star. The game is broken up into three distinct sections. The bulk of the game is spent in conversation mode, where the player speaks with Sonico and the other characters, as well as plans her schedule and events. Quite often there are dialogue choices which will influence Sonico's progress and character, which in turn leads to different types of job requests. There are also two types of events; Live Events and Gravure Events. Live Events are a live performance of a song, which plays out like a simple rhythm game, while Gravure Events involve taking photos of Sonico in different outfits, and giving her instructions on how to pose. Performance in each of these sections also determines Sonico's popularity and influences her career. There are also Free Live and Free Gravure modes available, where the player can simply enjoy the unlocked content for fun without without worrying about specific requests or career progress. Overview

SoniComi is based on Sonico, an overly busty amateur idol and mascot of Nitroplus, and features players as her cameraman. Naturally as a cameraman, you will both film and court her. The game flow will consist of two phases: the adventure and action phase.

The adventure phase deals mainly with your job as a cameraman, giving you the task of planning her photo shoots to the client’s requests. Gravure fans will be happy to know that they actually get to take pictures as Sonico poses around the set.

The action phase is similar to what players are used to in visual novel games – building a relationship with Sonico outside of work. These get broken up into scenes that involve physical contact, eye contact, and talking. Talking seems to be pretty basic, , but physical contact and eye contact seem to be the more interesting aspects. These include holding her hands at the right time, eliciting either embarrassment or a romantic moment. Likewise, eye contact during a conversation will be important. This means that either players will be rewarded for paying attention to Sonico or get a scolding for letting their eyes wander.
